Sweet Potato Fries

Make your own sweet potato fries!

SKILL LEVEL 4 servings
2 cups Mazola® Corn, Canola OR Vegetable Oil
1-1/2 to 2 pounds fresh sweet potatoes
Salt to taste
Heat oil to 350°F in large deep-sided skillet or deep fryer.

Clean sweet potatoes and remove ends.  Slice lengthwise into 1/4-inch thick slices.  Stack slices and cut lengthwise into 1/4-inch strips.

When oil is hot, fry sweet potatoes for 2 to 3 minutes or until lightly browned.  Drain on paper towels.  Sprinkle with salt and serve immediately.

Recipe Note:  for best results fry potatoes in several batches.
