Fajita Style Burger

Some of your favourite ingredients like jalapenos, onions, bell peppers and salsa in a tasty burger.
Easy Serves
SKILL LEVEL 4 burgers
1 tablespoon Mazola® Corn, Canola OR Vegetable Oil
1/2 cup minced onion
1 jalapeno pepper, finely diced
1-1/2 tablespoons salt-free burger seasoning
1-1/2 pounds ground beef
1 tablespoon Mazola® Corn, Canola OR Vegetable Oil
1 poblano pepper, quartered
1 avocado, halved and pit removed
1 teaspoon salt-free burger seasoning
4 hamburger buns

Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.  Add onion and jalapeno peppers.  Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until just tender.  Stir in 1 tablespoon seasoning and remove from heat.  Place ground beef in a large bowl.  Add sauteed vegetables and gently mix. Shape ground beef into 5-inch burgers. 

Grill over direct high heat, 8 to 10 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F for medium, turning once.

Brush oil over poblano pepper and avocado and sprinkle with 1 teaspoon seasoning.  Grill for 2 to 3 minutes until grill marks are evident. 

Toast hamburger buns if desired.  Place poblano on top of burger. Scoop avocado from skin and smear on top bun.  Serve with salsa.
