Creamy Vanilla Syrup

Delicious served over fruit crisps or cobblers, bread pudding, fresh baked fruit pies and of course pancakes, waffles or French Toast.

2-1/2 cups
1 cup Crown® Lily White® Corn Syrup
1 cup sugar
1 cup whipping cream
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon sea salt

Heat the corn syrup, sugar and cream in a medium saucepan until sugar is dissolved and mixture comes to a boil.

Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and salt.

Store in refrigerator in a covered container until ready to use.  Serve warm.


Creamy Berry Syrup:  Add 1 cup crushed berries such as blueberries, raspberries or mixed berries to corn syrup, sugar and cream.  Omit vanilla.

Creamy Bourbon Syrup:  Add 2 tablespoons bourbon when adding vanilla and salt.  Great on bread pudding.

Creamy Amaretto Syrup:  Add 2 tablespoons amaretto when adding vanilla and salt.

Creamy Spiced Syrup:  Add 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg with vanilla and salt.
