Creamy Vanilla Pie with Cherry Topping

Creamy Vanilla Pie is a heritage recipe that one of our customers remembers as a favourite pie her grandmother made.

3 eggs
3 tablespoons Fleischmann's® Corn Starch
1 bottle (16 ounces) Crown® Lily White® Corn Syrup
1 cup whipping cream
1 dash salt
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1 (9-inch) unbaked deep dish pie crust
1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling
Associated Recipes:

Whisk eggs and corn starch together in large bowl until smooth. Add corn syrup, cream, salt and vanilla and beat until well blended. Pour mixture into crust.

Bake in preheated 300°F oven for 50 to 55 minutes until pie is golden brown; center of pie will still seem soft.

Cool pie on wire rack 30 minutes and then refrigerate until ready to serve. Top with cherry pie filling to serve.
