- 2-1/2 to 3 pounds boneless beef sirloin roast
- 2 tablespoons chipotle seasoning
- 1/2 cup apple juice
- 3 tablespoons chipotle seasoning
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 tablespoon Mazola® Corn, Canola OR Vegetable Oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
A "mop" can be any flavourful liquid mixture that is brushed over the surface of meat while it is grilling. It helps keep this slow cooked beef roast moist and flavourful.
Coat all sides of roast with 2 tablespoons seasoning.
Combine apple juice, 3 tablespoons seasoning, lime juice, oil and honey in a small bowl. (This is the mop).
Grill roast over Indirect Medium heat for 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 hours. Brush the "mop" over roast every 10 to 15 minutes. If you run out of the mop before the roast is done, continue to baste with just apple juice. Roast until internal temperature reaches 135°F.
Remove roast from grill; tent wtih foil and let rest at least 10 minutes before slicing.
