Belgian Style Buttermilk Waffles

The Goods
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Fleischmann's® Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1-3/4 cups buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup Mazola® Corn, Canola OR Vegetable Oil

Make Good is Easy

Combine flour, sugar, backing powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium size mixing bowl.

Beat eggs, buttermilk and oil in a large bowl. Add dry ingredients, mixing together until smooth.

Preheat Belgian waffle iron. For each waffle, pour about 1 cup batter in waffle iron; spread batter to within 1/2 inch of edge. Close lid and cook until crisp and golden, about 4 minutes. Repeat with remaining batter. Serve warm topped with your favourite syrup or fresh fruit.
